Wee Nam Kee Hainanese Chicken Rice Review
Verdict
Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice is one of Singapore’s most talked-about chicken rice stores. Celebrities such as Anthony Bourdain and Gordon Ramsay have both visited this shop.
The rice was fragrant however, after finishing the rice, I felt that it could use more ginger and garlic to enhance the flavors. Their Hainanese chicken was moist and tender but the taste was a little bland.

Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice Food & Price
Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice comes in a few sizes: small ($3.50), medium ($5.00), big ($7.80), and thigh meat portion ($8.80).
We ordered a small portion of Hainanese chicken rice to try out. At first bite, the rice was smooth and has a nice fragrance to it. However, after eating a little more, we felt the rice lacks that punch of flavor from the garlic and ginger.
The chicken was tender and moist, but it has almost no gelatinase to it. I would have preferred a mixture of clean chicken with no skin and some with skin to provide it with an extra layer of texture and flavor.
As a spice lover, their chili was balanced between spiciness and sourness. It also has a medium to light consistency.
The chicken rice soup tastes a little bland too. Felt like I was drinking water with a hint of that chicken rice soup taste.
Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice Service
Service here is quick, got my food within 10 minutes of queuing. There have two stores front in the Maxwell food center and have a queue system.
