Pano Kato Grill, Pizza & Deli Review
Verdict
Pano Kato is a Mediterranean cuisine restaurant located at Tanglin Mall. I like their pizza dough as it is thin and crispy at the edges. The Crudo Bianco pizza has a nicely salted medium-thickness pharma ham. Their classic margarita was very aromatic and the cheese given was very generous. I love their Belgium chocolate here both drinks and dessert. It is milky and has just the right amount of sweetness to it.
Things I like
- Thin and Crispy pizza dough
- Classic margarita done right. With fresh basil and plenty of cheese with sweet and slightly sour tomato
- Fresh Pharma Ham in their Crudo Bianco pizza with lots of fresh Arugula and fiore di latte cheese.
- Belgium chocolate drink warms the heart. Milky and just the right amount of sweetness.
- Large fresh Burrata Cheese with amazing basil flavoured sauce.
Nitpicking
- I went back recently and the overall food and drink have changed a little. The pizza is now slight thicker no long that thin and crispy dough
Pano Kato Food & Price
First, we order their Burrata Cheese ($46). It comes with heirloom tomato and basil olive oil, served with two mini-baguette. It is a simple dish done so right so it was worth it for us.
Up next was their Crudo Bianco Pizza ($28) which is a top with Prosciutto Ham, Arugula, fiore di latte cheese and olive oil. I like that the ham was salty and had some thickness to it. Generous enough that every slice of pizza has pieces of ham.
When it comes to pizza, I always go for the classic Margarita pizza ($24). It’s a pizza that everyone can eat even vegetarians. The pizza was properly covered with the same fiore di latte cheese but the basil given could have been a little more.
For dessert, we tried their Deli Fondant of Belgian Chocolate topped with vanilla ice cream ($16). The chocolate cake was baked to perfection, with excellent crust and oozing chocolate in the centre. I Love Belgium Chocolate, milky and just the right amount of sweetness.
For drinks, we got their cappuccino ($7.50), Pink Lemonade ($6.00), Stella Artois ($14.00) and Belgium Chocolate ($10.00). I would give the lemonade a pass next round as flavour wise was very mild. The coffee here was surprisingly good as those made in a good cafe. Belgium chocolate was also my favourite. Same as the dessert, the chocolate is milky and has just the right sweetness.
Pano Kato Service
I have been here multiple times and I can say their service is improving. I believe with more training they can fix their service issue as per many complaints in their google reviews.
Food was served within 15 minutes of order which was quite fast given the restaurant was 3 quarter full.
*On a side note, they have furniture and homeware retail shop next to it that sells premium items.
