Open Farm Community Review
Verdict
Open Farm Community made simple-looking food taste great. Each food has its own character and wow factor. The tomato salad looks simple but the taste of the organic herbs is bursting with flavors. That bursting of flavors translates throughout the other two dishes as well. I guess this has something got to do with their organic herbs.
Things I like
- Unique flavors in each dish.
- The freshness of the ingredients used.
- The outdoor environment with lots of greenery.
The Populus Cafe Food & Price

Open Farm Community has indoor and outdoor seating. You are surrounded by greenery and it feels like you are on a farm. This is a good thing since we live in Singapore which is a small city, it’s good that such a place can exist.

I am not really a fan of salad but this Tomato Salad ($18) change my mind. I am no herb expert but the herb was bursting with flavors. The tomato is firm and crunchy with tons of juice oozing out. The sauce on the side gives an additional layer of sweetness to the dish.

For the main course, I order their OFC Brioche Burger ($30). First of all, it is definitely quite expensive like 30 bucks for a burger is slightly above a typical cafe price but after taking a bite, it was worth it. The bun was well toasted, perfectly seared, and cooked beef patty oozing with juices when bitten.

Their Barramundi fish ($26) came in 3 small-looking pieces but looks can sometimes be deceiving such as in this case. Each piece was filled with fish meat instead of thick empty pockets of flour. Fresh fish, medium firmness, and light crispy skin are my kind of fried fish.

Open Farm Community comes up with these special drinks for the month. It was a kaya toast latte ($10) which is one of Singapore’s most popular breakfast dishes. Props for the effort to create this drink, it was definitely a unique feeling to drink your breakfast. The Mango Soda ($9) was a typical good and strong flavored drink.
It seems that the menu has changed at the time of writing this blog. Would definitely go back and try it sometime in the near future.
Open Farm Community Service & Ambient
The staff here was friendly and welcoming. We did not book a seat but they still accommodate and gave us a seat with of course a limited time slot. Since I am a fast eater, I had no issue with this.
The environment here is definitely a plus point, a farm within a city is always welcome. Their indoor seating can get a little noisy as with almost all packed indoor seatings.
