Things I like

• Beef Burger – Excellent buttered crust bun, juicy burger, and caramelized onion.
• Smoked Haddock Salad – Fresh crunchy salad with prominent smoked infused flavour fish.
• Macaron – Great texture, the balance of sweetness and sourness is perfect.

Merci Marcel Food & Price

Merci Marcel Orchard teamed up with Fresh Beauty to come up with a Modern French Rose theme cafe. The entrance is covered with roses and a bench for you to take your “OOTD”.

Inside they have bar seating, normal cafe seating as well as an alfresco patio outdoor seating. Very cozy and ample natural sunlight in the cafe.

We tried their Smoked Haddock Salad ($21) to begin our meal. It was super sour and crunchy, prepare to make some funny faces when eating this.

The fish was really fresh and you can taste the infused smoky flavour.

My personal favorite at Merci Marcel was their Beef Burger ($28). The burger had an excellent buttered crust bun, juicy burger, and caramelized onion. Bacon given was on the smaller side so you can’t really taste it in the burger but it does give an added layer of crispiness.

The fries were awesome. I like that they left the potato skin on the fries as it gives it a nice layer of crispiness.

For dessert, we try their Merci Marcel X Fresh Beauty collaboration Rasberry Macaron ($12). Not only does it look so pretty, it actually tastes great as well. The texture of the biscuit was hard enough to hold yet, soft enough to crumble in your mouth. The balance of sweetness and sourness from the berry was done right.

We also order their Latte ($6.50). At first glance you maybe disappointed to see that there was too much air injected to the milk frothing process but the coffee actually tasted great. Sweet and a hint of bitterness at the end.

The prettiest setup of the day was this Rose Lemonade ($6). It looks great on camera, especially with the free rose given during this special event with Fresh Beauty. The taste however was on a lighter side. You could not really taste the sweet lemonade flavour instead it tasted like ice tea with rose syrup.

Merci Marcel Service

Merci Marcel’s staff here was friendly and welcoming. The cafe was full house during our visit but the turnover was decently fast. We waited 15 minutes to get our seating.

While waiting you can go next door to see their retail items and the staff will call your name when it is your turn.

The food here was served within 15 minutes of ordering.
