Verdict

Kar Sou Hakka Yong Tau Fu surprise us with their curry soup, chili sauce, and clear chicken broth. There are a few other menu displays in the shop front but they only serve those in the lightbox. If you crave a good bowl of curry or chicken soup, this is the shop for you.

Kar Sou Hakka Yong Tau Fu was a great find in Toa Payoh. It has been a while since I last had a good bowl of yong tau fu and this shop did not disappoint. They have a variety of menu displays in their shop but only those in the lightbox were on their menu. Not too sure why they don’t just remove it.

They have dry or soup yong tau fu ($4/$5) and it comes with noodles, fish balls, tou pok (You can add more ingredients if you want). Their chicken broth was very clear and tasty. The noodle had a good chewy and springy texture along with their fresh ingredient.

Services Other than that, we also order their curry yong tau fu ($4/$5) which comes with yellow noodles, tofu, lady finger, Chinese eggplant, and tou pok.

The curry broth here was one of the nicest curry soups I tasted in Singapore. It has a full-body curry soup and just the right balance of coconut milk and herbs.

The Chili here is spicy and has a very nice fragrant to it. It complements the yong tau fu well as it enhances the flavor of the dish.

Services here were quick, we got our meal within 10 minutes of ordering but we when there early morning on a weekday so the weekend might differ.
