7 Best Cafe In Singapore [2023]
1. The Populus Cafe
The Populus cafe has been around for many years and still is one of the better cafes in Singapore. They serve great food such as their Lobster Croissant ($27) and their Wagyu Breakfast of Champions ($35). It is different and that is why I like it. The coffee here is smooth and creamy and the beans were fresh.

2. Merci Marcel
Merci Marcel Orchard has teamed up with Fresh Beauty to bring you a french rose theme cafe. It has an indoor cafe/bar seating area and an outdoor alfresco patio setup.
The beef burger ($28) here is highly recommended. It has an excellent buttered crust bun, juicy burger, and caramelized onion. If you like sourness, you should try their smoked haddock salad ($21). It is super sour and you can actually taste the prominent smokiness from the fresh fish. Macron dessert was made to perfection. A Balance of sweetness and sourness. Drinks here so far have been a little letdown.

3. Common Man Coffee Roasters
Common Man Coffee Roasters is well known for their specialty coffee in Singapore. They are also a wholesaler, cafe, and academy, and their skills are shown in their food and drinks. You can almost always expect a great cup of coffee here with great milk pouring technique, perfect milk foam, and fresh coffee beans.
Their full breakfast ($30) here is one of the most popular dishes which has your classic food inside such as sausage, eggs, beans, mushrooms, and tomatoes. This cafe is almost always packed so the seats inside are a little cramped.

4. Bee’s Knees at The Garage
Bee’s Knees At The Garage is situated in Singapore’s UNESCO World Heritage Botanic Garden. It’s a great area to go walk in nature and have breakfast at the cafe. Bee’s Knees serves your typical cafe breakfast such as croissant ($7), egg benny ($17), and açai bowl ($13). The food here overall has a good balance of flavour and appearance. The coffee here is smooth and creamy. It is also a pet-friendly cafe in its outdoor seating area.

5. Bacha Coffee
Bacha Coffee is one of the ultimate luxury cafes for coffee lovers. Step into the cafe and appreciate the Marrakech-inspired theme. There are plenty of fine coffee to choose from and a variety of pastry that goes with it. In short, if you love coffee, Bacha Coffee is the place to be.
I like coffee from Kenya, Africa. Thus, I order their Bacha Coffee Mount Kenya Coffee ($17) which has a fruity aroma with a hint of milk chocolate, the harvest produces a fine acidity and boasts an unusual, berry-like flavour and full body. Check out more about the beans here.

6. Tiong Bahru Bakery
Tiong Bahru Bakery is one of Singapore’s best bakery chains. Over the past few years, they have expanded from 1 store to 9 stores.
They are famous for their pastry such as Kouign Amann ($5.30), Croissant ($6.00), and Tarts ($7.90). Though they have multiple locations, do expect long queues during weekends.
I like that all pastries are reheated in the oven before serving. The flavors are well balanced, and their pastry is crispy.

7. Flock Cafe
Flock Cafe is a nice little cozy and quiet cafe in Tiong Bahru. It is a long rectangle shape cafe so you have sections with make it quiet, cozy but also a little cold as they have 3 big air-con.
The Beef burger was dripping with its juice as has a decent umami flavour to it. The waffle batter was thick and crispy accompanied by a perfectly cooked scrambled egg and crispy bacon. Excellent cup of coffee, smooth, creamy, and fresh beans.
